about
The act of self reflection is demanding, deeply uncomfortable even. Existential voyeurism comes with obscure, fragmented and nonsensical realizations - it is surreal in nature. Yet, when approached with sufficient ignorance, naive observations of oneself slowly become parts of a whole.
Dear Diary sees postmodern dystopia through a pair of glistening pink Hello Kitty shades. It oscillates between cheerfully melodic rhythm and manic waves of insistent electronic nodes, manifesting a sense of weirdly melancholic optimism as it addresses an untethered sense of existence. Soothing melodies and startling synths intertwine in a record that seems as unsure of its own composition as it is certain in its' delivery.
lyrics
Dear Diary
Though you can shake my hand and feel/flesh gripping yours
Dear Diary
there is no real me
only an entity
I occasionally
box with Ricky at the Harvard club
Dear Diary
I like high heels
I want to fit in
My nightly bloodlust
Has overflowed into
My days
That's Bone
And the lettering
Is something called Silian Rail
Sometimes ...
I go American psycho
I go American psycho
I feel lethal
On the verge of frenzy
Dear Diary
If you’re so hungry
Why don’t you get a job
(Is that Donald trump's car?)
My mask of sanity is about to slip
Dear diary
And I really can’t
stress blonde enough
I killed Paul Allen
With an axe in the face
Be a doll
And just get me
some mineral water okay?
Sometimes
I go American psycho
I go American psycho
I’m just a happy camper
I guess I’m a pretty Sick guy
Inside doesn’t matter
That’s why
Nobody minds
When
I go American
Psycho
I go American psycho
